[अति दूरात् सामीप्यात् इन्द्रिय् अघातान् मनः अनवस्थानात्। सौक्ष्म्यात् व्यवधानात् अभिभवात् समान अभिहारात् च॥
ati = even; dūrāt = those that are far; sāmīpyāt = very near; indriy = the senses, that are; aghātān = can impact; manaḥ = mind; anavasthānāt = by its unsteady nature; saukṣmyāt = by its subtlety; vyavadhānāt = being obstructed; abhibhavāt = being disrespected; samāna = from balance; abhihārāt = by losing; ca = and;]
Even those that are far can impact the senses and mind that are near, as mind and senses are unsteady and subtle by nature. Examples include being obstructed (from view) and being dis-respected, which results in losing balance.
