Karika 02
दृष्टवदानुश्रविकः स ह्यविशुद्धिक्षयातिशययुक्तः। तद्विपरीतः श्रेयान् व्यक्ताव्यक्तज्ञविज्ञानात् ॥२॥
It is observed, the practises from the Vedas when prescribed in excess, do not result in the elimination of impurities. Otherwise, they bring wellbeing with the discriminative knowledge of the manifest, the un-manifest, and the knower.
In the 200 BC context, Iswara Krishna is of the view, Vedic practises in moderation results in the required discriminative knowledge, but rituals in excess must be avoided.
