Yōga Sūtra 1.43
स्मृतिपरिशुद्धौ स्वरूपशून्येवार्थमात्रनिर्भासा निर्वितर्का।
When the previous impressions are purified, the objects knowledge alone is perceived without the support of physical form - it is nirvitarka, equilibrium state without the need for logical debate.
In the second stage of equilibrium state, mind gets the ability to grasp the meaning of the word, without the need to validate with the application of logic. Hence this is called nirvitarka-samādhi, an equilibrium state without the need to apply logic.
