dr̥ṣṭā mayētyupēkṣaka ēkō dr̥ṣṭāhamityuparamatyanyā। sati saṁyōgē'pi tayōḥ prayōjanaṁ nāsti sargasya ॥66॥
[दृष्टा मय इति उपेक्षक एको दृष्ट अहम् इति उपरमति अन्या। सति संयोगे अपि तयोः प्रयोजनं नास्ति सर्गस्य॥
dr̥ṣṭā = seen; maya = by me; iti = thus thinking; upēkṣaka = with indifference; ēkō = the one; dr̥ṣṭa = has seen; aham = me; iti = thus; uparamati = she withdraws; anyā = the other; sati = exist; saṁyōgē = together; api = even-though; tayōḥ = they both; prayōjanaṁ = purpose; nāsti = being lost; sargasya = from creation;]
"She is seen by me" - thus he thinks with indifference; "the one has seen me" - thus she withdraws from the other. In this way they both continue to exist together, even though the purpose of them coming together at the time of creation has ceased.
