Sankhya Kārika
Karika 43
सांसिद्धिकाश्च भावाः प्राकृतिका वैकृताश्च धर्माद्याः। दृष्टाः करणाश्रयिणः कार्याश्रयिणश्च कललाद्याः ॥४३॥
sāṁsiddhikāśca bhāvāḥ prākr̥tikā vaikr̥tāśca dharmādyāḥ। dr̥ṣṭāḥ karaṇāśrayiṇaḥ kāryāśrayiṇaśca kalalādyāḥ ॥43॥
[सांसिद्धिकाः च भावाः प्राकृतिका वैकृताः च धर्माद्याः। दृष्टाः करण आश्रयिणः कार्यः आश्रयिणः च कलल आद्याः॥
sāṁsiddhikāḥ = being produced from existent; ca = and; bhāvāḥ = dispositions / attitudes / feelings; prākr̥tikā = are natural; vaikr̥tāḥ = deformative; ca = and; dharmādyāḥ = dharmas; dr̥ṣṭāḥ = are seen to be; karaṇa = instruments; āśrayiṇaḥ = sheltered in; kāryaḥ = acts; āśrayiṇaḥ = sheltered in; ca = and; kalala ādyāḥ = embryos and others;]
Being produced from existent, the persons dispositions are natural and deformative as well based on their respective dharma. It is seen that the embryo takes shelter at instruments, and it takes shelter at acts as well.
The law of karma is explained. Body is born from the existent purusha and has pre-dispositions. These dispositions based on their dharma, the natural order, takes shelter in instruments and acts of the body.
