Karika 26
बुद्धीन्द्रियाणिश्चक्षुः श्रोत्रघ्राणरसनत्वगाख्यानि। वाक्पाणिपादपायूपस्थान्कर्मेन्द्रियान्याहुः ॥२६॥
Eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and skin are called the indriyas of intelligence (buddhiḥ indriyāṇi). Speech, hands, feet, organs of excretion and reproduction are said to be indriyas of action (karma indriyāṇi).
'indriyāṇi' = functional organs that interface with external world. They are classified as two types. Organs of intelligence (buddi) and organs of action (karma). Translating 'indriyas' as senses is wrong. There is no exact equivalent for Indriyas in English.
